EPCC is one of the standing committees of the Pitt Public Health Council composed of one elected faculty member from each department and two representatives of the student body, one master's and one doctoral. The associate deans for enrollment and academic affairs, the director of student affairs, and the director of the MMPH program are ex-officio, non-voting members.
The charge of the committee is to establish and update the academic policies and procedures for the school as well as reviewing and recommending action to the Council on all curriculum changes.

MPH Committee
The MPH Committee is a formal sub-committee of the EPCC. It includes:
- MPH program directors
- MPH core course teaching faculty
- Associate Dean for Graduate Academic Affairs
- Associate Dean for Enrollment

- Director of Recruitment and Admissions
- Director of Educational Programs and Accreditation Initiatives
- EPCC Staff Liaison
- Two student representatives who are elected by their peers in MPH programs
The committee meets monthly to discuss the MPH curriculum, core classes, practical experiences, and any other core related curricular needs. Currently, the committee is chaired by Dr. Elizabeth Felter.

The BEC is a subcommittee of the Educational Policies and Curriculum Committee. It includes:
