"The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character--that is the goal of true education." - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
I have spent my entire professional life working in the student affairs field which, for those who are unfamiliar with this area, is the studying and fostering of student success and development. My focus has been, and will always be, the student first and promoting the idea that true student development happens in and out of the classroom, collaborating with faculty, staff and fellow students, and when a student realizes that education is less about memorization and more about gaining experience through opportunity. As Director of Student Services, my position oversees aspects of a student's academic career that will help them grow, develop and learn, and our staff is here to assist each student in the School of Public Health through their journey!
