Williams & McDonald: COVID-19 on campus

Drs. John Williams and Margaret McDonald share an update on the current COVID conditions on campus and reflect on their insider experiences serving on Pitt’s Healthcare Advisory Group during this public health crisis.

John Williams is chief of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Children’s Hospital. Williams serves on the Chancellor’s Healthcare Advisory Group (HCAG) which works to guide University of Pittsburgh decisionmakers in their ongoing response to the COVID-19 virus.

Margaret McDonald is associate vice chancellor for academic affairs and international programs, health sciences, and is an associate professor of epidemiology and psychiatry. During our weekly "Conversations about COVID-19" series, Pitt Public Health brings together a variety of experts to discuss aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic and address questions from seminar attendees. The goal of the fall COVID-19 seminar series is to provide our school community, alumni, and the public with credible information about the virus and the associated health impacts.

CONVERSATIONS ABOUT COVID-19  | PITT PUBLIC HEALTH SEMINAR SERIES 

Each Friday, Pitt Public Health experts will have a conversation about different aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic and then address questions from the seminar attendees. The goal of the COVID-19 seminar series is to provide our school community, alumni, and the public with credible information about the virus and the associated health impacts.
