Congratulations to the following students for winning the Outstanding Poster by a Doctoral Student award at this year's Dean's Day poster competition.
First Place: Celeste Shelton (HUGEN '19), Classification of Pancreatitis Subtypes Using RNA-SEQ from Human Pancreatic Tissue
Second Place: Cristian Chandler (BCHS '18), Towards Understanding the Impact of Syndemics on HIV Screening among Black Men who have Sex with Men (BMSM) in the United States: Results from the POWER Study
Third Place: Candice Biernesser (BCHS '18), Suicidal Adolescent and Parent Perspectives of Automated Methods of Social Media Monitoring
Dean's Day is an annual student research competition. Students present their research during multiple poster sessions. Faculty members judge each presentation for prizes and students are about to evaluate posters for Grand Rounds credit. The winners are invited to give oral presentations of their work during an awards ceremony.
