The University of Pittsburgh Department of Health Policy and Management’s Master of Health Administration has been rated as the 12th-best program in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.
With its two-place improvement, the MHA program continues to excel as a national leader in preparing graduates for managerial and leadership roles in a wide range of health care and health-related fields.
The newest rankings also maintain Pitt’s place as the highest-ranked program in Pennsylvania.
“Our continued rise in rankings is recognition that we have sustained positive momentum for our program,” said Health Policy and Management Vice Chair for Education and Director of the MHA and MHA/MBA programs Kevin Broom, PhD, MBA. “These results are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and faculty in the program and after graduating.”
The MHA program offers students a competency-based curriculum and an array of professional development resources and activities to prepare graduates for key leadership roles across the health industry. Employment settings include health systems, health insurance, consulting, group practice management and many other industry employers.
With engaged learning experiences, including management residencies integrated within the curriculum, the MHA program enables graduates to excel in the health industry.
The MHA program continues to graduate and place its students at a high rate. Graduates have gone on to successful careers in executive positions in the health care industry all over the United States and the world.
