A Night with the Physician General: Current Topics in LGBTQ Health and the Opioid Epidemic in PA
Public Health Auditorium (G023)

Dr. Rachel Levine, physician general and acting secretary of health for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, will speak health topics in the LGBTQ community, and about her background as a transgender physician. Levine will also discuss the ongoing opioid epidemic in Pennsylvania and her efforts to combat this issue. 

Levine is also professor of pediatrics and psychiatry at the Penn State College of Medicine. As physician general, she has made significant strides in combating the opioid epidemic and advocating on behalf of the LGBTQ population. She was recognized as one of NBC's Pride 30, a national list of people who are both members of and making a difference in the lives of the LGBTQ community. 

Co-sponsored by the Coalition for Pre-Health Professions and the Rainbow Alliance.
