With the support of Pitt's Center for Latin American Studies, this group explores:
- the problems Latinos in small yet rapidly growing populations face
- how to solve those problems
We are always looking for new writing and research collaborations!
Open to all interested: students, faculty, staff, and practitioners from Pitt and beyond.
We open meetings 30 minutes early and stay for 30 minutes beyond for extra networking time!
See upcoming meetings on the CHE calendar.
Overview
The Emerging Latino Communities Group typically holds several focused writing sessions each term. Colleagues from disciplines such as public health, education, social work, anthropology, business, medicine, dental health, and psychology have attended from the University of Pittsburgh as well as Duquesne and Carnegie Mellon Universities.
We welcome all disciplines from any university and community affiliation! This is an opportunity to work on writing your paper, thesis, manuscript, grant proposal, etc., in a supportive quiet environment.
