Kelsey Simon (IDM '20) was awarded a 2019 Bob Yee Public Health Scholarship. A native of Buffalo, NY, Simon is pursuing an MPH with a concentration in infectious disease pathogenesis, eradication, adn laboratory practice (MPH-PEL). She holds an undergraduate biology degree from the University of Pittsburgh and is interested in swimming, hiking, and reading.
Named in honor of professor emeritus Robert B. Yee, and funded by generous contributions from alumni and friends of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology, this scholarship is awarded to three incoming IDM master's students (MPH or MS) each year based on academic merit.
