The Master of Public Health (MPH) program at the University of Pittsburgh's Department of Health Policy and Management is the 14th best in the nation according to new U.S. News and World Report rankings.
Starting in 2023, the annual rankings were separated by specialty into five categories. Results are generated by surveying deans, administrators and faculty members at accredited programs and schools.
"Seeing our ranking rise is a testament to the hard work of everyone - our students, faculty and staff," said Cindy Bryce, associate dean for enrollment and director for enrollment and director of the HPM MPH and JD/MPH programs. "Our program continues to attract students passionate about public health policy and prepare them for the next steps in their career."
The MPH in Health Policy and Management prepares students for careers as public policy analysts, advocates for public health and high-quality care and much more. The curriculum is structured around the CEPH competency model for MPH students including health policy and management, communication, leadership, professionalism, systems thinking and self-actualization competencies.
Alumni of the MPH program have held positions in the public and private sector, with federal, state and local governmental agencies and have earned post-graduate fellowships with health care systems across the country.
