Howard Degenholtz elected to board of Gerontology Society of America

Professor Howard Degenholtz has been elected to the board of directors of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), the nation’s largest interdisciplinary organization devoted to the field of aging.

Degenholtz earned his PhD in health services research, policy and administration from the University of Minnesota in 1997. He is founding director of the Doctoral Program in Health Services Research and Policy at the School of Public Health. His research interests focus on long-term care and aging and organ donation.

Degenholtz will assume the post of vice chair-elect of GSA’s Social Research, Policy and Practice Section on Jan. 1, 2024.
