Contributions to Public Health
- I designed many phase I and phase II clinical trials as the trial statistician, and analyzed data from them. I contributed to these trials by developing and incorporating novel trial designs, and using Bayesian methods to monitor toxicities. In the first paper below, I analyzed data for patients who received fecal microbiota transplant. I also analyzed data from other clinical studies including retrospective patient data analysis and correlative analysis.

- I developed statistical analysis methods in survival analysis. In first paper below, I proposed a model, named as the additive inverse Gaussian frailty model, for correlated survival data, and developed a semiparametric estimation procedure in this model. Models and analysis methods in these papers are very useful for the estimation and prediction of patient survival in biomedical studies. In the second paper, multiple comparison procedures were extended to log-rank tests in survival analysis.

- I have contributed to statistical analysis of pre-clinical in vitro studies, including linear-quadratic and single-hit multi-target models for cell survival curves in clonogenic assays, analysis of long-term bone marrow culture data, gene expression in real-time polymerase chain reaction, complete blood count data, and western blot data.
