Pitt Bridges

Pitt Bridges is an online career portal for Pitt Public Health students and alumni that includes a job board featuring full-time, part-time, internship, and fellowship positions. Some opportunities are posted directly by employers, while others are added by career services (sourced from public health job boards and websites, as well as announcements received from alumni, faculty, and staff). Postings include local, national, and international public health opportunities.

In addition to the job board, you can use Pitt Bridges to schedule an appointment with a career counselor, view and register for upcoming career services workshops and events, and access our resource library for job-related tips and helpful articles.

How is it different from Talent Center?

Talent Center (formerly PittSource) is the University of Pittsburgh’s official job site, advertising all employment opportunities available throughout the University. Students should use Talent Center to apply for student worker positions and on-campus employment.

Getting Started with Pitt Bridges

To access Pitt Bridges, go to pittbridges.pitt.edu and log in using your Pitt username and password. If you do not have an active Pitt username and password (alumni with a graduation date before April 2015), please contact Joan Anson to request a sponsored account.

When logging in for the first time, go to "My Account" on the left to complete your profile. You must complete all required fields and sections of the profile to gain access to the Jobs, Resources, and Calendar tabs.

To view upcoming workshops, info sessions, and events, click on the Events tab in the navigation bar. Register by clicking RSVP under the workshop or event title. You will receive an automated message confirming your registration.

Best Practices

  • When searching for positions in Pitt Bridges, leave the search terms as open as possible. Because some job descriptions are not as detailed as others, you will see more opportunities the fewer fields you fill in.
  • While searching for jobs, we recommend sorting the results by ”Date Posted” rather than relying on the default sort, “Relevance,” which can provide outdated results.
  • Let Pitt Bridges work for you when you’re not even online! By submitting a resume to one of our Resume Book, your information is available to over 2000 employers with the click of a button. Upload your resume to “Opt-In-Resume Books” under the Documents tab to make it available to employers.
