The Accelerated Bachelor's/Master's Program
Excited to pursue a career in health? Think that graduate school is in your future? Then consider Pitt Public Health’s Accelerated Bachelor’s / Master’s Program.
If you’re a motivated Pitt student who’s completed the appropriate undergraduate coursework, the accelerated bachelor’s/master’s program allows you to complete both degrees in a total of five years — saving up to a full year of time and tens of thousands of dollars in tuition!

Undergraduate Certificate in Global Health
Offered through the Global Studies Center, the Undergraduate Certificate in Global Health is for students wanting the analytical tools and professional skills necessary to address our world’s most compelling issues. Explore the transnational processes underpinning the global burden of disease, the social determinants of health, and inequalities in medical care access. Tailor your unique program of study based on your academic, personal, and career interests. (18 credits)
You’ll learn to:
- Understand the global burden of disease, social determinants of health, and treatment disparities from transnational and historical perspectives
- Differentiate current research, programs, strategies, and key organizational actors
- Recognize the behavioral and cultural dimensions of health
- Appreciate and apply different approaches to key questions in global health
- Critique different discourses on global health (e.g., medical, policy, anthropological) orally and in writing.
