Addressing Emergencies at Pitt Public Health

Steps for addressing an emergency incident 

  1. Report the incident to University Police at 412-624-2121
  2. Report the incident to the Dean's Office

  3. Working with the School of Public Health Dean's Office to document the incident, complete an incident report with Pitt.

If you discover smoke or fire

  • Leave area by exit route
  • Close doors as you go
  • Pull the nearest fire alarm
  • Evacuate away from the building
  • Call Pitt Police at 412-624-2121 (from a safe area)

Fire extinguishers

Fire extinguishers are secured to the walls on each floor of the building.
