Are you interested in a career in science writing or science communications? Do you want to gain experience in communicating complex science to a broad audience?
The Office of Graduate Studies has partnered with science writers from the UPMC and Pitt Schools of the Health Sciences media relations team to offer a mentored writing program.
This informal opportunity is offered on a volunteer basis, and will allow you to test the waters in an environment that has the features of a newsroom but with the guidance of a team of writers and editors.
The program commitment is flexible, but will need approximately 4 hours per week and for three months.
