Want to Deliver a Congratulatory Speech to Your Fellow Grads?

We're getting close to the event of the year: the Pitt Public Health Commencement ceremony in person at the Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland on May 1 (also live streamed). The event will be filled with music, speeches from guests and faculty, and of course, the traditional processional of graduating students across the stage!

We want to add one more special part to the agenda, a speech from a graduating student. If you're interested in delivering a 5-10 minute congratulatory speech to the graduates and their guests, let us know by April 1!

Complete this form and include a 90-second a video describing why you should be this year's student speaker. Please address points you would like all grads to hear from your perspective, advice for your fellow grads, and any parting words you'd like to include.

A committee will review and select one student to speak in person during the ceremony. Submit by April 1! The selected student will be alerted on Monday, April 4 to allow time to write the speech.

You can upload a video with the form or include a link. Contact Mike Dolinger with questions.
