The U.S. Government Accountability Office’s (GAO) Health Care team is now accepting applications for Summer 2022 internships! GAO’s health care team has meaningful, paid internships with the potential for a permanent offer. Plus, GAO is consistently named as one of the top places to work in government.

Summer Internship Opportunities: 
Open Friday, December 10, 2021; closes Tuesday, January 11, 2022 (or once 500 applications are received). Internships begin in early summer and will be available at headquarters in D.C. and all field offices (see flyer for field offices with the Health Care team). At this time, opportunities for remote work are not known.

Qualifications for Internship Announcement:
•    Enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs,
•    Work 10 to 16 weeks (between 400 and 640 hours)

•    Create a profile on USAjobs.
•    Build a resume in USAjobs and describe your experience with specific, direct examples.
•    Provide detailed response to the written application questions when you submit an application.
•    For internships: provide school transcript as proof of enrollment.
•    For internships: If health care experience is required for your program, check the box to ensure you will be placed in the Health Care team. If the Health           Care team is desired but not required, students should articulate prior health care experience.
