Visit coronavirus.pitt.edu for the latest on vaccine clinics and volunteer opportunities...

Hi Pitt Public Health:

We’ve had so many wonderful volunteers from Pitt Public Health contribute to the important mission of vaccinating our Pitt and local community.  Thank you for stepping up!  It’s a fun and rewarding volunteer activity.  With the Spring Term behind us, I’m hopeful that some of you will have an extra few hours to volunteer.  We could surely use your help!

We have 7 upcoming clinics that we need your help at! The locations and dates are:

  • Petersen Events Center: 5/11, 5/14, 5/20
  • Nordenberg Hall (across from Starbucks on 5th Avenue, next to University Pharmacy): 5/5, 5/6, 5/12, 5/13
  • The shifts are half-days and vary by clinic

If you have previously volunteered and already have a Volgistics account: The directions below will show you how to choose your volunteer slot.
Step 1: Log in.

Step 2: Sign up!

  • From the Volgistics Home tab, you can access any other tab. Go to the “My Schedule” tab to see upcoming clinics.
  • Click “Help Wanted” on any of the calendar dates to see the available volunteer roles.
  • Find a date, a time, and a role that works for you! Click on the “Schedule Me” button.
  • Verify that you have the right role, date, and time by clicking the “Yes” button under “Is this correct?”
    • Note: Volunteer coordinators may need to move you to a different role based on clinic needs.

Step 3: Volunteer on your chosen date. Thank you for your help vaccinating our community!

If you have not previously enrolled as a volunteer with Volgistics you will need to complete the following enrollment process:

After your application form is received, an email will be sent notifying you it was successfully submitted.  The email will contain the links to complete Step 2:

Step 2: Complete the University of Pittsburgh release form.

Once all steps are complete, you will then receive a second email to set up your Volgistics profile where you can schedule the date/time and role for which you would like to volunteer.

If you have any questions, you can contact me, Nancy W. Glynn, PhD at epidnwg@pitt.edu, Pitt Public Health volunteer coordinator for the PittCoVax Initiative.

Thank you so much!  I look forward to seeing you and working together on this critical public health initiative!
