Preventive medicine physician and director of the Center for Public Health Practice Wendy Braund joins IDM’s Jeremy Martinson, legal epidemiologist Elizabeth Van Nostrand, and disease modeler EPI’s Wilbert van Panhuis for an interactive Go-to-Meeting webinar exploring the outbreak from their unique perspectives and addressing vital scientific and legal questions around COVID-19, such as:

  • How did coronaviruses make the leap from animal to human hosts?
  • How is COVID-19 transmitted? What legal and policy interventions are in place to ‘flatten the curve’?
  • With so much information scattered over the internet, where can a repository of reliable data and information on COVID-19 be found?

View course details and pre-register by noon on 4/8.

Questions for speakers can be sent in advance (on or before April 7) to marphtc@pitt.edu.

Organized by the Mid-Atlantic Regional Public Health Training Center (MAR-PHTC) in coordination with the Allegheny County Bar Association, the training session on 4/9 at 1 ET is designed for public health and clinical professionals, attorneys, researchers, students, and others interested in learning more about COVID-19.
