Congratulations to the following students for winning the Outstanding Poster by a Doctoral Student award at this year's Dean's Day poster competition.
First place: Jessica Thompson (BCHS '20), Community-level Environmental and Social Determinants of Health: Food Deserts and Heart Failure Incidence in SWPA
Second place: Sarah Minion (EPI '19), Geospatial analyses of maternal, infant, and child health people 2020 indicators in Butler County, PA
Third place: Abisola Olaniyan (BCHS '21), Facilitators and barriers to seeking and accessing childhood immunization services in Lagos state, Nigeria: Perspective of caregivers, community leaders, and health personnel
Dean's Day is an annual student research competition. Students present their research during multiple poster sessions while faculty members judge presentations for prizes and students evaluate posters for Grand Rounds credit. The Dean invites selected presenters to give oral presentations of their work during the awards ceremony.
