Bring awareness to a current health disparity by entering the APTR student video competition

The Association for Prevention Teaching and Research (APTR) and the Thomas Jefferson University College of Population Health announce the 2019 Student Video Competition. This competition aims to support graduate medical and health professions students in thinking critically about how to address local health inequities through policy and legislation and provides students with a platform to bring awareness to current health disparities across the nation.

Student teams should consist of 3-4 individuals. All teams will be required to submit a video testimonial and policy brief on a policy that seeks to mitigate the impact of health inequities for a particular population. The top three (3) finalists will be announced on March 15, 2019 and their video submissions will be showcased on the APTR website and at the APTR annual meeting. All students are encouraged to apply!

Cash prizes will be granted to the top three teams:

  • First Place: $1,200
  • Second Place: $800
  • Third Place: $400

Visit www.aptrweb.org/page/2019StudentVideo for more information!  The final online submission form, video, and policy brief must be submitted by 11:59 PM EST on February 12, 2019.
