Doctoral student LAUREN BALMERT (BIOST '17) has been selected to represent Pitt Public Health and the University of Pittsburgh at the inaugural Graduate Student Research Showcase at Pitt Day in Harrisburg on March 21, 2017.
Balmert will present her research, “Patterns and Trends in Accidental Poisoning Deaths: Pennsylvania’s Experience, 1979-2014” to our elected leaders and alumni in Harrisburg.
This work was co-authored by biostatistics faculty Jeanine Buchanich, her research supervisor, and Gary Marsh; Janice Pringle of the School of Pharmacy; Karl Williams, Medical Examiner of Allegheny County; and Dean Donald S. Burke.
