On behalf of Dr. Mark Redfern, Vice Provost for Research, The University of Pittsburgh is eligible to submit proposals for the following programs sponsored by the National Institutes of Health: Availability of Administrative Supplements to NIGMS Predoctoral Training Grants (Admin Support) (PA-16-060): The National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) announces the availability of funds for Administrative Supplements to NIGMS-funded predoctoral T32 training grants. These funds are designed to provide support for the development and implementation of curricular activities aimed at providing graduate students with a strong foundation in research design and methods. Internal deadline: Friday, January 22, 2016. Clinical Sites for the IDeA States Pediatric Clinical Trials Network (UG1) (RFA-OD-16-001): The National Institutes of Health (NIH) invites applications for institutional research capacity building programs from entities/institutions in Institutional Development Award (IDeA)-eligible States that propose to support a team of experts to engage and implement pediatric clinical trials. Internal deadline: Friday, February 12, 2016 Data Coordinating and Operations Center for the IDeA States Pediatric Clinical Trials Network (U24) (RFA-OD-16-002): The NIH invites applications from investigators willing to participate under a cooperative agreement as the Data Coordinating and Operations Center (DCOC) in a multicenter clinical program, the IDeA States Pediatric Clinical Trials Network (ISPCTN). Internal deadline: Friday, February 12, 2016 Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Centers 2016 (U54) (RFA-HD-16-013): This FOA invites applications for research center cooperative agreements designed to advance the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and amelioration of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Internal deadline: Friday, January 15, 2016. Because of a limit placed on the number of submissions (1 per university), and to also allow enough time for the internal review screening and selection process, and subsequent preparation of full applications, interested faculty should submit the following to the University’s internal competition portal, https://upitt.infoready4.com/ : (1) a project summary (1-2 pages), (2) CV or NIH biosketch.
