June 27th is the 19th Annual National HIV Testing Day

National HIV Testing Day is an annual observance to promote HIV testing and spread the “Take the Test, Take Control” message. The day was founded in 1995 by the National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA). Nearly 1.2 million people are living with HIV in the U.S., and almost one in five don’t know they are infected. NAPWA believes HIV testing is a critical first step in taking control and responsibility over one's health
