Rachel H. Mackey, PhD, MPH, assistant professor of epidemiology, received the Trudy Bush Fellowship for Cardiovascular Research in Women’s Health. The award is given by the American Heart Association Council on Epidemiology and Prevention to recognize the top three abstracts related to women’s health accepted to their annual conference. This year’s conference was held March 2 to 5 in San Francisco.
Mackey's abstract is titled, "Lipoprotein Particles Predict Incident 36 Coronary Heart Disease Among Extremely Obese (BMI Greater than or Equal to 40) Black and White Postmenopausal Women."
