Saniya Sabnis (IDM '19) was awarded a 2017 Bob Yee Public Health Scholarship. A native of Monroeville, PA, Sabnis is pursuing an MPH with a concentration in infectious disease pathogenesis, eradication, and laboratory practice (MPH-PEL). She holds an undergraduate chemistry/bioscience degree from the University of Pittsburgh (2015) and is interested in reading, hiking, and learning the guitar.
Named in honor of professor emeritus Robert B. Yee, and funded by generous contributions by alumni and friends of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology, this scholarship is awarded to three incoming IDM master's students (MPH or MS) each year based on academic merit.
