Host defenses and virulence factors of Legionella infections; clinical microbiology
Dr. Pasculle was responsible for the discovery of Legionella micdadei in 1979. He also serves as the associate director of the clinical microbiology laboratory at Presbyterian-University Hospital. His research interests have included pathologic and microbiological studies Legionella as well as several areas of Clinical Microbiology. Most recently he has been studying the use of DNA probes for the detection of Legionella and other bacterial in clinical specimens.
