Dr. Schlesselman has over 40 years of experience in the design and analysis of epidemiologic studies and clinical trials. He began his career at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), where he collaborated on research projects involving human reproduction and aging, vaccines, contraceptives, bacterial and metabolic diseases in children, human learning, nutrition, and developmental disabilities. In the 10 years prior to retirement, he was involved extensively in cancer research studies. He has worked with and advised components of the World Health Organization, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control, the National Institutes of Health, the International Atomic Energy Agency, and the Agency for International Development.
