Personal Statement

Health Law, Management and Structure of Healthcare Organizations, and Public Health Policy.

Mr. Huber teaches graduate studies, and is also the Vice Chancellor for Research Conduct and Compliance.  Mr. Huber has been a faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh in various departments since 1975.

Prior to re-joining the University of Pittsburgh faculty on a full-time basis, Mr. Huber retired from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) where he was a Senior Vice President responsible for corporate relations and regional programming, government relations, liability insurance, contracts and grants, and disaster management. Before he was a Senior Vice President, Mr. Huber was General Counsel for UPMC for over 30 years, including during the formation of UPMC.



Mr. Huber currently serves on the Boards of Directors for UPMC McKeesport and UPMC East Mirror Boards, UPMC Health Plan, UPMC For You (Chair)  and Community Care Behavioral Health Organization (CCBHO). He is the current Chair of the HAP Trustees Leadership Steering Committee, and a member of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Huber served on active duty and in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard as a Judge Advocate Staff Officer and retired as a State Brigadier General.
