Dr. Demirci's major research area of interest is to investigate the genetic and molecular basis of complex human diseases, with current primary focus on immune-mediated conditions, autoimmune diseases, and inflammatory or malignant ocular disorders. Her research involves the use of various omics approaches to gain further insights into the disease mechanisms and unravel new potential biomarkers and/or therapeutic targets.
