Handshake is University-wide job board and career platform that provides access to job, internship, fellowship, and postdoctoral opportunities from local, national, and international employers. In addition to the job board, students can use Handshake to schedule an appointment with career services. Log in to Handshake at using your Pitt username and password.

Use Handshake to: 1) search for a job outside of Pitt, 2) make an appointment with Pitt Public Health Career Services, 3) view and register for events hosted by the University of Pittsburgh Career Center


Pitt Talent Center is the University's official job site. Use Talent Center to search for on-campus and student employment, including opportunities at Pitt Public Health and other health sciences schools at Pitt. Contact your department for GSR and GSA opportunities.

The Pitt Public Health Mentor Network on Pitt Commons is a group of alumni and other school-affiliated professionals willing to provide support and guidance as you navigate career decisions, explore career paths, and/or consider further education and training.

AURORA is an online professional development training platform for graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and PhDs that helps them successfully transition into academic or nonacademic career paths. Select "Login through your institution" and use your Pitt credentials.

Use AURORA to: 1) discover career options in industry or academia, 2) view recorded seminars for skills in resume writing, networking, professional social media, and more, 3) access well-curated career resources for graduate students


Use this virtual mock interviewing site to practice your interview skills, whether you’re prepping for an internship, job, or medical school interview.  Register on Pitt’s Big Interview site and create an account with your Pitt email address.

Versatile PhD is an online resource designed to help humanities, social science, and STEM PhDs identify, prepare for, and succeed in non-academic careers. Graduate students, faculty, and others have free access to resources such as sample resumes and cover letters, career path stories for non-academic PhDs, and many more valuable resources.
