Dean's Day 2019 HUGEN departmental award recipients

This year, the Department of Human Genetics awarded three prizes: two master's-level and one PhD award.

This year's winner for the MPH category is Jacqueline Cohen (MPH '19). She presented a poster on Relationship Between Cognition and Statin Use in the Long Life Family Study

For the MS category, this year’s winner is Zeynep Erdogen-Yildirim (MS '19). He presented a poster on Functional Investigation of ESR1 Fusions Identified in Endocrine Therapy Refractory Estrogen Receptor Positive Breast Cancer

For the doctoral category, this year's winner is Teresa Capasso (PhD '19). She presented a poster on Interprofessional Education for Health Professionals: Utilizing the power of communication and collaboration to improve patient outcomes

Dean's Day is an annual student research competition. Students present their research during multiple poster sessions while faculty members judge presentations for prizes and students evaluate posters for Grand Rounds credit. The Dean invites selected presenters to give oral presentations of their work during the awards ceremony.
