Milken Institute Future Health Leaders Program

This year, the Milken Institute Center for Public Health is looking for applicants for its Future Health Leaders Pilot Program. Pitt Public Health is one of five schools being asked to submit nominations for this initiative. Not only will students gain experience and access to health leaders in various realms of public health, but they will also be able to help the Milken Institute build this program so that it can best fill gaps in student career preparation and skill set development. Students will need to make a 1-2 year commitment (with some summer virtual responsibilities) that includes attending Public Health Career Path sessions for leadership and career guidance, completing a community impact project, and liaising as a representative of their school in the program. Participants will be invited to Milken Institute events including the Future of Health Summit in Washington, DC and gain hands-on experience working with people across sectors and demographics.

Students who are interested in taking part in this pilot program and who have community project work experience, should contact Associate Dean of Education, Jessica Burke for more information.
