Yan Tang (HPM '15) works at RTI International as a health services researcher. Much of her current work focuses on pay for performance initiatives in the U.S. health care system. For example, she works on the implementation of Comprehensive Primary Care Plus Model, which is a new initiative by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) with the potential to transform primary care delivery, lower healthcare costs while improving the quality of care. Also, she works on the implementation of Medicare Share Savings Program and Next Generation Accountable Care Organizations Program, one of Medicare’s primary alternative payment models initiated by CMS which aims to promoting accountability and improving the quality of care for Medicare beneficiaries. Tang has broad research interests in statistical and econometric methodologies, Medicare and Medicaid policy evaluation, pharmaceutical economics and policy, and large databases and claims analysis.
