Check Out the Upcoming Professional Development Workshops, Focused on Diversity & Inclusion, Data Skills, and Teaching this March


Allies Network Training 
Allies Network Training is designed to improve visibility and support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, allied and asexual (LGBTQIA) students and employees. A trainer from the Office of Cross Cultural and Leadership Development will come to Pitt Public Health to give this half-day training on Monday, March 5 from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m in Public Health 1149, Foster Conference Room. 

Data Mondays in March 
Two trainings in will offered by staff from the Health Services Library System (HSLS) for anyone working with data. 

You Do WHAT With Your Data? session led by Melissa Ratajeski, Coordinator of Data Services will be Monday, March 12 from 2 - 3 p.m. in A521 Crabtree Hall. This training session will provide practical tips for organizing, naming, documenting, storing and preserving your data.

Introduction to Tableau will be held the following Monday, March 19 from 2 - 3 p.m. also in A521 Crabtree Hall, and will be led by Rose Turner. In this class you will learn how to access Tableau as a student or faculty, connect to data sources, and maximize the visual impact of your data. 

Teaching Workshop: Developing and Revising Test Questions
This teaching workshop will be led by Lauren Onufer from the University Center for Teaching and Learning, who will present us with tools and resources to evaluate and improve test questions. Be sure to bring test question examples to work through during this workshop.
