GSPH and GSPIA Deans at Middle East Institute Launch


Three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times columnist and author, Thomas Friedman, was the keynote speaker for the launch of the Pittsburgh Middle East Institute on September 16, 2008, at Heinz Hall in downtown Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh Middle East Institute presented this inaugural event in cooperation with the Allegheny Conference on Community Development and the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh. The mission of the Pittsburgh Middle East Institute is to forge lasting ties between Pittsburgh and the Middle East through business, education, and culture.
