The accomplishments of
Eunha Shim, PhD, Epidemiology faculty member were recently highlighted in the
October 2012 edition of Pittsburgh Magazine. As a mathematical modeler in epidemiology, Dr. Shim developed an innovative methodology that combines game theory and mathematical modeling of infectious diseases in order to predict how altruism plays an important role in the decision to receive influenza vaccination and increases vaccine uptake.
