We're glad you've accepted our offer of admission. Let's get started.
Computing Services and Student Accounts
Look for an e-mail with your official Pitt username and password, which will allow you to activate your student account in the Pitt Portal.
Be sure to watch your Pitt e-mail account for important information.
New Student Orientation
Review the schedule for Orientation and the Plunge into Public Health and Pittsburgh, complete your Orientation Survey, and make plans to join us August 24-26, 2016. The main Orientation program (August 25) is mandatory for new students.
Registering for Classes
Some programs will assign advisors at the time of acceptance while others will assign advisors over the summer. Once you have a permanent advisor, you can make an appointment to discuss registration. Review registration instructions and contact your department student services staff with questions.
Note: you will not receive a tuition bill until after you register.
U.S. Students – Student Loans
If you're applying for student loans, you must submit the FAFSA form. Read more…
International Students – I-20 Paperwork
Once you have submitted your deposit, the Office of International Services (OIS) will be notified of your acceptance and they will contact you to collect the required paperwork for the I-20 processing. Once processed, OIS will send to you via UPS. You'll receive a tracking number via email.
Note: OIS will not process your I-20 forms until they receive all required paperwork.
You can contact your advisor to discuss registration, but you have to move to Pittsburgh, sit for the English Language Proficiency exam (if applicable) and check-in with OIS before you can register for classes.
