Dr. Demirci's major research area of interest is to investigate the genetic and molecular basis of common complex diseases of public health importance, including immune-mediated diseases and autoimmune conditions, cardiovascular risk factors and lipid traits, and neurodegenerative diseases and psychiatric conditions.
