One of the top-ranked schools of public health in the U.S., Pitt Public Health was the first fully accredited school of public health in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A member of the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health, Pitt Public Health ranks fifth among schools of public health in National Institutes of Health funding received annually. Pitt Public Health is a leader in research related to women's health, HIV/AIDS, and human genetics, among other areas and recognizes leaders in their fields among its over 7,000 alumni worldwide.
